AutomotiveUI 2011 held at the ICT&S Center / University of Salzburg from November 29 to December 2 2011, brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines to discuss how to advance the state of the art in vehicular user experiences. One of the major goals of AutomotiveUI is to explore how in-car user interfaces can be designed to reduce driver distraction while still enabling valuable services.

AmI 2009, held at the ICT&S Center from November 18th to 21st 2009, united researchers from academia and industry of various disciplines in order to provide a basis for the future of ambient intelligence. The conference featured a 10 years anniversary since the term Ambient Intelligence started to fly around. Besides explicitly looking back at what has been achieved, the conference provided a forum to establish new roads for the future of Ambient Intelligence.

EuroITV 2008, held from July 3rd to 4th at the ICT&S Center, provided a forum for professionals not only from Europe but also from all over the world who are interested, to do research in and work on all aspects of interactive television and meet the changing television requirements.

ACE 2007, held at the ICT&S Center/University of Salzburg from June 13th to 15th 2007, particularly addressed exciting new forms of human computer interaction. The purpose of this conference was to bring together academic and industry researchers, artists and designers and computer entertainment developers and practitioners, to address and advance the research and development issues related to computer entertainment.

MobileHCI 2005, held at the ICT&S Center/University of Salzburg from September 19th to 22nd 2005, provided a forum for academics and practitioners to discuss the challenges, potential solutions and innovations towards effective interaction with mobile systems and services. It covered the analysis, design, evaluation and application of human-computer interaction techniques and approaches for all mobile computing devices and services.
