Curricula ICT&S Course Modules

Curriculum ICT&S Basic Module I:

  • All students must successfully complete an introductory lecture (basics or introduction), given that it is not included in the curriculum of the major. If the lecture is part of the major’s curriculum (e.g. communication studies), an alternative lecture "special topic" must be completed and labeled as such.
  • VO / VR / UE / PR / PS / KO / SE
    All further ECTS credits that are necessary to complete the course module can be chosen freely from the courses that are assigned to the particular module. At least four of the nine completed ECTS credits must be "prüfungsimmanent", meaning that there is a continuous assessment of the course work (VR, UE, PR, PS, KO, SE).

Curriculum ICT&S Advanced Module II:

  • A lecture that is labeled "special topic" and a seminar must be successfully completed.
  • VO / VR / UE / PR / PS / KO / SE
    All further ECTS credits that are necessary to complete the course module can be chosen freely from the courses that are assigned to the particular module. At least two of the four completed hours must be "prüfungsimmanent", meaning that there is a continuous assessment of the course work (VR, UE, PR, PS, KO, SE).

 

Certification/Crediting/Module-handling

Requirements:

  • Attendance and completion of the module course
  • Completion of the ICT&S course module exam form
  • Submission at the ICT&S Center

Certification–Steps

1. Module certificate: For each successfully completed ICT&S course module with four courses - issue of an "ICT&S Module Certificate"

2. Study supplement: If two ICT&S Module Certificates are at hand, the entry of a "study supplement ICT&S" for the respective bachelor or master certificate may be requested for at the appropriate examination department.

3. Study focus: If three ICT&S Module Certificates are at hand, the entry of a "study focus ICT&S" for the respective bachelor or master certificate may be requested for at the appropriate examination department.
